Cationic dye polyester fibers can be produced with
sodium dimethyl sulfoisophthalate (Na-SIPM) or
lithium sulfoisophthalic acid (Li-SIPA).
Low strength Na-SIPE
CD has better hand feel; High strength Li-SIPE CD
has:
(1) Higher intrinsic
viscosity£»
(2) Lower melt
viscosity, higher CP capacity;
(3) Longer spinneret
life£»
(4) Lower spinning
breaks;
(5) DTY speed increase
20%;
(6) Can spin
microdenier fiber (denier 0.8);
(7) Fast dyeing,
bright color;
(8) Can be dyed
together with spandex.
In the U.S. market of
cationic dye polyester, Na-SIPM is 2.0 mole% of
polyester (3.0 wt%). In China market, Na-SIPM is 1.66
mole% of polyester (2.5 wt%). Glysil can help clients
adjust the content of Na-SIPM in polyester to meet
market needs.
A key to high quality
cationic dye polyester is the uniform dispersion of Na-SIPE.
We have decade of experience in both low strength Na-SIPE
and high strength Li-SIPE polyester, especially in SIPE
solution preparation and CP. Glysil Chemicals Inc.
provides complete technology package including
Glysil®
GS-16 (Na-SIPE 40%) or Glysil® GS-15 (Li-SIPE
40%)
solution receipt, equipment specification,
procedures, and polymerization.
Examples of clients
that used Glysil technology to produce cationic dye
polyester in CP:
Reliance in India, 100
tons/day CP cationic dye polyester staple.
Wujiang Fudong Textile
Group in China, 180 tons/day cationic dye FDY and chip.
Zhejiang Euro-Asia in
China, CP-2 120 tons/day cationic dye polyester staple.
Zhejiang Cifu in
China, CP-2 300 tons/day cationic dye polyester POY.
Alok Industries in
India, CP-5 70 tons/day cationic dye polyester POY and
FDY.
